Officiant Lady

 Connie Jones-Steward, MA

People often ask me why I do what I do. The truth is that there is no single answer. But if I had to pick the top two reasons the first would be that I love the feeling of being in on the start of establishing a new family unit. I can't tell you how it touches my heart when a couple sends me photos of their maternity shoots or newborn infants. The second top reason is that I love taking a couple's feelings about their relationship and putting them into the unique story that forms their Authentic Love Story wedding ceremony.

Some of my past couples have  described me as a "beautiful spirit with a calming presence that eases any and all pre-wedding day jitters." I've been told that I have a compassionate nature that puts couples at ease and helps to create a graceful wedding experience. I am a longtime advocate of marriage equality who supports all religious, spiritual and secular belief systems. I am  adept at creating weddings that include elements of Protestantism Catholicism, Judaism, Wicca, Paganism, New Age, Eastern, African and Native American religions; sometimes combining two or more into one ceremony to accommodate interfaith couples. My  belief is that your ceremony should represent an accurate portrayal of your unique relationship. Therefore I do not create cookie cutter ceremonies. Each ceremony, even elopements, include elements of who you are. .

In addition to being an ordained minister and officiant I hold an M.A, in Comparative Religion from the Universal Life Church , a B.S, in Business Administration & Marketing from California State University at Dominguez Hills and an M.A. in Anthropology from California State University at Northridge. I am a firm believer in the  connection of mind, body and spirit and I hold certificates as a reiki master teacher and a crystal therapist. I am a member in good standing of the Association of Bridal Consultants, an organization that sets and maintains high wedding industry standards.

I reside in the Rosewood section of Los Angeles County with my husband and our rescued cats Nytefall and Lola.
